Back to Reality

'Vacation Megan' has crawled underneath a rock in defeat, as reality has given me a subtle slap in the face. I returned home only to remember that my car windshield has two chips (in need of immediate attention), I have yet to register for summer classes (at $180 a pop...i need 3), it is forecasted to be over 100 degrees all week, and today to make sure I was really back from vacay-land, my ipod dropped and the screen shattered. I'll take the 7 years bad luck but since I don't have an Iphone quite yet and I'm stuck with a semi-broken blackberry, baby Ipod touch has been my lifeline for almost a year now. It wouldn't sting so bad if I wasn't still getting over this...
Sometimes I wonder why Kyle and I have such rotten luck. I'm not a big believer in giving up after a few tough breaks (no pun intended), but we really are often dealt some pretty mean cards. My impending move out date is drawing nearer and random expenses are the last thing my wallet needs. Luckily for me, Sister and her husband have offered to fix my Ray-bans as a belated b-day gift. Whew!

On a positive note, I started my supervisor training today! Despite having a billion new things to remember, I was being paid my new rate of pay to sit in the Sbux lobby and read about these billion new things.
My post-training getup:
  • Tank: F21
  • Shorts/Belt: F21
  • Aubrey H Necklace: Christmas prezzie from my sister
  • Flats: Blowfish
About the shoes:
I purchased them with the rest of Courtney's bridal party to wear with our dresses in La Jolla...
...the verdict? They were comfy, functional, and ADORABLE. I love them, and they're mine to keep :)

Well friends, I hope your day is going better than mine! Enjoy your evening, I'll see you tomorrow.
