Snowy Desert!

A short story:
I went to bed last night so relieved my workweek had come to an end. Sleeping in was a promising idea, so I put on my jammies and cuddled in bed with NO alarm set. I woke up from my glorious sleep  and figured it was about 8 or 9 am, which to Bux opener is sleeping in 4 hours longer than usual! I rolled over, looked at the clock and realized it was 4:59am. I wondered why I was awake and realized the dogs (I'm house/puppysitting still) had been whining and scratching at my door. I shuffled to the door to let them outside and much to my surprise, I opened the door do a full-blown rainstorm. This rainstorm, supposedly evolved into a snowstorm!
Yesterday was warm(ish) so I had to rub my eyes and make sure I wasn't dreaming. The dogs gave me an exasperated whine and I knew they wouldn't step a single paw outside. We both went back to sleep until 8 and now we're snuggling and watching "Say Yes to the Dress" while I sip an iced grande, 1 pump mocha, 1 splenda, w/ cream iced coffee (baristas like to get complicated).

My side of town didn't get as much snow as I would've liked but up toward the mountains had a beautiful white blanket, as you can see. There is nothing more beautiful than a snowy desert.

We're approaching the end of the week and the much awaited end of my 7 day housesitting extravaganza. I'm looking forward to spending next week in normalcy, in my own bed. I have some fun posts planned, so stay tuned!

Happy Sunday! See you soon.
